Sprout Social is recruiting an Enterprise Account Executive to join the Sales and Success Team.

what will you do

  • Prospecting, developing and closing sales opportunities with new logos and existing customers in the public segment.
  • Master Your Numbers – Consistently meet and exceed your activity goals (prospects and completed meetings) to create a fruitful pipeline that allows for consistent quota redemption.
  • Build deep relationships within your book of business through multi-threading, reaching Executive and VP levels, and end-user engagement.

Sprout Social is looking for a dedicated, tech-savvy account executive with strong business acumen to join our expanding enterprise sales team. Ideally, you'll be equally driven by a customer-centric mindset to close new deals and grow customer accounts.

These are the minimum qualifications our hiring team is looking for in this role:

  • More than 4 years of experience in B2B sales
  • Proven success in selling/cross-selling to companies
  • Ability to manage a large number of prospects and identify problems and opportunities and offer solutions to each on an advisory basis

Additionally, these are the preferred qualifications that would indicate a particularly strong candidate:

  • Public sector sales experience
  • Experience building relationships, presenting, and selling to high-level decision makers across multiple roles
  • Experience working with third parties
  • Preferred SaaS experience
  • Experience working with internal partners and cross-functional stakeholders to drive business forward and exceed prospect and customer expectations

how will you grow

Within 1 month you will plant your roots including:

  • Complete Sprout Social's new hire training and onboarding program along with other new Sprout team members. You'll gain a more complete understanding of our products and how your role fits within the organization.
  • Work with your company director to define key success metrics for your role and how you will measure yourself against them.
  • Meet one-on-one with current members of the corporate sales team to understand what's working and what's not, and gather insights that you can apply to your role.
  • Side account executives make live or gong calls to learn sales and positioning strategies.
  • Dive right into our platform to learn what makes it unique, how our solution impacts business goals, and why customers love our solutions.
  • Explore Sprout's go-to-market messages and key differentiators, and develop and customize industry-specific value propositions.
  • Learn relevant customer stories and case studies to justify your value propositions with real world ROI examples.
  • Complete a written demonstration and certification to ensure understanding.
  • Learn Sprout's sales process for existing customers by following your peers.

Within 3 months you will start to take your step:

  • Meet with all of your existing customers in the business book and start building relationships with key strategic stakeholders.
  • Identify the top 20-25% of new logo opportunities in your business book to build focus and execution into your weekly prospecting activities.
  • Understand the language of all your customers and learn where we can expand our offering, expanding into new business units or getting more out of our platform with existing customers.
  • Own your numbers - Consistently meet and exceed your activity goals to create a fruitful pipeline that ensures you consistently earn quotas after the increase.
  • Collaborate with your BDR teammates, professional services, solution engineers, and customer success to create account and territory plans.
  • Meet regularly with your BDR to define a relationship that will ensure ongoing communication and coordination on expansion opportunities.
  • Conduct active research and leverage all available tools and data sources to understand your customers' brand, culture, KPIs, partners and success metrics so you can add value during your interactions and become a trusted advisor.
  • Gain a solid understanding of your customers' internal transitions and reduce the risk of customer churn.

In 6 months, you will make a significant impact by:

  • You've built solid C-level relationships with existing customers in your 'account book'.
  • It has built strong internal relationships with its peers, client success, professional services, solution development, our legal partners and others who will participate in its business cycles. You have a deep understanding of each team's partnership expectations and service level agreements.
  • Travel locally or internationally on a quarterly basis to find key clients to accelerate your deal cycles and increase win rates.
  • Become a Sprout social and social media expert to speak confidently about ever-changing trends, new product features, and platform improvements to help our customers reach their full potential and achieve their goals.
  • Consistently meet your monthly and quarterly sales targets.

Within 12 months, make this role yours:

  • Mentor and develop your BDR to become the best in their respective roles and further advance their skills and careers.
  • Rise as a peer leader to share best practices across the organization and help others grow from their experiences.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly activity, pipeline and new business metrics.

Whenever possible, Sprout wants to give our team the flexibility to work in the location that makes the most sense for them. Sprout maintains a remote workforce in many locations across the United States. However, we are not set up in all states, so check the dropdown box in our app to see if your state is listed. Few functions require an office environment. If your position requires a physical presence in a Sprout office, this will be clear in the job posting and your offer letter.

The earnings on target ("OTE") from this role are $210,000.00 per year. OTE is the sum of a fixed base salary plus target performance incentives. The performance fee varies by performance. The minimum wage is the fixed base wage. As the incentive plan is unlimited, this role has no maximum salary range.

These bandwidths were determined using a market-based compensation approach. We use data from a variety of sources, including but not limited to trusted third-party compensation sources, to establish fair, consistent and competitive ranges. We also evaluate compensation on a semi-annual basis, identifying changes in the market and making adjustments to our offerings and existing employee compensation where necessary.

OTE is just one element of an employee's total compensation at Sprout. Every member of the Sprout team has the opportunity to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) in the Sprout stock plan. Employees (and their dependents) have medical, dental, vision, basic, accidental death, disability and modern health coverage (a wellness benefit). Employees can enroll in the Sprout company's 401k plan, where Sprout matches 50% of their contributions up to 6% with a maximum contribution.
